Welcoming 2026 with Gratitude and Purpose

With deep gratitude and honour, I humbly accept the trust placed in me to serve as President of Persatuan Alumni Universiti Malaya (PAUM). As a graduate of the Class of 1975, Faculty of Economics and Administration, this appointment is both a homecoming and a renewed call to service—connecting cherished memories of youth with the responsibilities we now share as custodians of Universiti Malaya’s proud legacy.

PAUM today stands as a testament to the strength and loyalty of our alumni. What began as a gathering of graduates has grown into a distinguished and vibrant community. The PAUM Clubhouse—Malaysia’s only dedicated Alumni Clubhouse—is more than a building; it is a living hub of fellowship, networking, and the enduring alma mater spirit of Universiti Malaya.

Our Vision Ahead

As we enter a new chapter together, my vision is clear:

To deepen the sense of belonging and strengthen alumni unity.
To position PAUM as a beacon of conscience for the nation.
To broaden our reach through impactful programs, sporting activities, and collaborations that connect alumni across generations.

We will continue to honour the foundations laid by past Presidents whose leadership shaped PAUM into the responsible institution it is today. Building on their legacy, we aspire to enrich alumni engagement, empower students, and nurture a culture of giving back—through mentorship, professional support, and community service.

A Shared Commitment

In 2026, PAUM will remain a home for intellectual activities, networking, and lifelong bonds forged on the campus grounds of Universiti Malaya. Together, as one alumni family, we carry the honour of Universiti Malaya not only in our hearts, but in our actions, contributions, and shared commitment to the nation.

To all members of PAUM—thank you for your unwavering support. I warmly invite you to stay close to the Association, return to the much-improved Clubhouse, reconnect with friends, and continue building this legacy with us.
